Artists Guild

The Hopewell Valley Arts Council is on the move!  We have two significant new programs we are rolling out in 2018.  This is just a sneak peak about our developing Artists Guild.

The HV Arts Council has recognized the need to provide support and programs specifically targeted to artists in the greater Hopewell Valley.  There is a desire among artists for a place to gather for fellowship and sharing, and to have opportunities to be more visible in the community.

These needs were confirmed through community-sponsored community feedback sessions, led by Zeldis Research and sponsored by the HV Arts Council, in June 2016.

To help address these needs, the HV Arts Council will be sponsoring the formation of an “artists guild” to support established artists, as well as emerging and young artists.

The guild will provide:

  • an environment for collaboration, feedback, learning and idea sharing;

  • opportunities to showcase artists and their work in our community;

  • coordination of resources and services that are useful to artists.

Planning and organizational meetings for the guild have been held throughout 2017.  We eagerly anticipate making public announcements and holding the first artist gathering in early 2018. Stay tuned!
